it’s all my fault

I choose, from here on out, to answer every calling in my body, step into my true creativity, let go of everything that doesn’t fulfill me and truly start changing myself. I know for a fact that the world is going to mirror what I change about myself.

get swept under

I don’t want to be your friend
I just want to be your lover
No matter how it ends
No matter how it starts

Forget about your house of cards
And I’ll do mine
Forget about your house of cards

Fall off the table
Get swept under
Denial, denial

there is no ‘the industry’

It’s easy to say that, “the industry is to blame,” or “the industry doesn’t understand this.”

But because no one is charge, because there’s no coherent enforcement method, this is merely a shorthand. There is no industry, no economy, no market. Only people.

April’s egg, or full pink moon

april full moon

What is April’s Full Moon?

This name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring. Other names for this month’s celestial body include the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn.

Here are my Egg Moon offerings:

I let go gripping the path.

I let go wrinkled shirts that need to be ironed.

I cultivate trust.

I cultivate honoring ebb and flow.

I cultivate creative magnets.

Your turn.

street level miracles

I am the co-creator of a film production company, Subway Token Films. We are always on the hunt for Street Level Miracles, the philosophy behind our films: these are moments in our lives when the story as we know it stops, the lens is pulled back and something expansive is revealed to us. Kinda like catching the glimpse of a whale out in the sea.

This here is a perfect example of one. Enjoy.

FADE IN: a car, 2 friends peeling mandarins:

“I mean, now what? We just go back to farts and Trader Joes?”

She looks at me expecting an answer.

Farts and Trader Joes…yeah, that seems about right. You spend enough time with someone, sure, that’s what happens. I don’t say that, instead I nod.

She scoffs and looks away.

“It’s not fair,” she says quietly.

She’s so pretty when she’s mad/frustrated/sad/resentful/vulnerable.
When she’s human.
